It is a clear, colorless solution supplied in a sealed multi-dose vial and used as a diluent for preparing or reconstituting solutions in controlled settings. The benzyl alcohol content helps inhibit microbial growth in multi-entry containers when handled using proper aseptic technique during laboratory workflows.
